Who is Milard Roper?

therapies for mind and bodyMilard is a licensed Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, and Herbalist.

For many years he has taught Kung Fu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and various Asian Medicine classes and seminars.  His passion for these arts and the knowledge behind them come through clearly when he is teaching.

Milard has been a yoga practitioner for 15 years and becoming a Yoga instructor was a natural and obvious progression in his life path. Milard has had amazing teachers in various fields, they are a constant source of inspiration and knowledge. He is forever grateful to them.  His enthusiasm for life and the balance he has created in his professional and personal life is inspirational to his students, patients, friends and family.

On today’s show Milard will discuss the benefits of acupuncture, yoga, herbs, and massage as Therapies for Mind and Body.

Ayurvedic Herbal Medicine (Part 1)

Who is Dr. Sodhi?

dr-virender-sodhiDr. Virender Sodhi was the first physician to combine a degree in Ayurvedic and Naturopathic medicine in the United States. He received his degree from the Dayanand Ayurvedic Medical College in Jalandar, India in 1980. Consequently, in 1986, the Indian government chose him to share Ayurveda with Western society as part of a cultural exchange program. Upon his arrival into the United States, Dr. Sodhi enrolled at Bastyr University, where he received his doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine (ND), and joined the faculty to teach Ayurvedic sciences.

He is a visiting professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Scottsdale, Arizona, School of Pharmacy University of Washington and Des Moines University Iowa.

Dr. Sodhi has been featured on radio and television programs across the country, and presents at conferences internationally. Dr. Sodhi sits on the Panel of Experts with Dr. Andrew Wile for Natural Health Magazine, is a featured expert in Alternative Medicine, The Definitive Guide, and is featured in The Textbook of Natural Medicine .

He has also written for many other publications. He is currently busy attending to patients from all over the world at the Ayurvedic Naturopathic Medical Clinic in Bellevue, Washington . He envisioned Ayush Herbs along with his three brothers, which has become an international company.
